Our Process
First you need to complete our 36 hours of easy to follow online Study. You will then compete your blood borne pathogen certification. Finally, 100 hours just 2 weeks of Hands on training that will ready you for the AAM gold certification.

Complete your Permanent Makeup Apprenticeship with one of our experienced Certified Instructors!
Whether you are completing your PMU Apprenticeship to meet state requirements or seeking to gain confidence in your procedures before working on clients, the Beauty Arts Apprenticeship Program provides the guidance and support you need.
For over 5 years, we have been teaching PMU professionals and preparing them to become successful practitioners through our training and apprenticeship programs.
If you do not have models, we will do provide them for you. We consider each apprenticeship a private training session, with your instructor guiding you throughout the entire procedure. This includes table setup, pre and post-care, consultation, needle selection, and mapping.
We will ensure you have all the necessary paperwork, before and after pictures, and any additional documents required for submission to both the AAM and the State of New Jersey.
Our apprenticeship program meet the requirements of the New Jersey Administrative Code Title 8 Health Chapter 27 (N.J.A.C 8:27-8.1 Qualifications of Permanent Cosmetic Practitioners and Apprentices).
Even if your state does not require an apprenticeship, we strongly recommend completing at least one eyebrow, eyeliner, and lip permanent makeup procedure to gain the experience and confidence needed to succeed.
The cost is $300 per procedure – we will waive the $30 supply fee if you book in June and July and provide you with a model.
Please note that our apprenticeships are open to anyone who has completed a SPCP or AAM approved fundamental Permanent Makeup Training class.
You do not need to be a graduate of the Beauty Arts Academy.
